Wrinkle in Time

I re-designed the cover (right) based on my "Gretel" drawing. "A Wrinkle in Time" is one of my favorite children's books. Written by Madeleine L'Engle, it contains fantasy, sci-fi and even religious themes that weave in the struggle of a young girl trying to save her family from the unknown. It was published in 1962 after many rejections by publishers because it was, in L'Engle's words, "too different." The book went on to win a Newbery Medal, Sequoyah Book Award, and Lewis Carroll Shelf Award, and was runner-up for the Hans Christian Andersen Award.

Many particular movies have taken ideas from the book series- the concept of midichlorians were first defined in "A Wind in the Door" years before Lucas and Star Wars used the idea.

Looks pretty damn sweet man!

keep on keeping on

Ooh, comments. I always liked the paperback cover to A Wind In the Door, perhaps a little more than I enjoyed the book itself.
